Information technology company CACI International has secured a task order to provide support to the US Army’s Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier.
The $71m task order has been awarded for a period of five years.

Under the contract, the company will provide sensor systems acquisition services such as engineering, test, logistics, quality assurance and operations management services.
Services will be provided to the PEO Soldier’s Project Manager, Soldier Sensor and Lasers (PM SSL).
The US Army will receive technology maturation, production, deployment, and sustainment support from the company for the new mobility and targeting systems.
Currently, the company is offering PM SSL new equipment training services for all these systems.

By GlobalDataCACI chief operating officer John Mengucci said: “CACI has built a sterling record providing engineering, logistics support, and new equipment training for the army.
“The expert staff and technical assistance CACI provides will further assist the army to develop, test, and field the next-generation of soldier sensor and laser equipment.”
The company said that the task order represents new work for CACI in its ‘surveillance and reconnaissance market area’.
PM SSL develops sensor and laser systems to equip soldiers with the capability to locate and target threat objects accurately for engagement.
The systems also enhance the soldier’s vision and targeting capabilities during day, night, and all-weather conditions.
Last month, CACI International acquired LGS Innovations from Madison Dearborn Partners (MDP) and CoVant Management in a $750m deal.
