The US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has awarded government services provider Solers a position on a $7.5bn contract for systems engineering, technology, and innovation (SETI) services.
The multi-award indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a five-year base performance period with one five-year option period.

DISA initially announced that 14 companies had secured positions on the contract. BAE Systems, Northrop Grumman, Booz Allen Hamilton, Leidos and Perspecta are among the awardees.
The inclusion of Solers follows a decision by the Government Accountability Office in October over protests challenging DISA’s evaluation of proposals submitted by several other firms.
Solers president and chief operating officer (COO) Mark Kersh said: “Winning SETI is the culmination of almost 20 years of Solers providing systems engineering, technology integration, and innovative solutions to DISA and the warfighter.
“Solers has been a DISA partner for almost two decades providing innovation solutions to help DISA evolve the joint information environment (JIE), to effectively deliver joint command and control (JC2) capabilities, and to help operate and assure the DoD Information Network enterprise.”

By GlobalDataUnder the contract, the company will deliver information technology (IT) engineering services that will support existing and future DoD and DISA capabilities, services, and systems.
Solers Defense Systems Division vice-president Kevin Schweer said: “SETI is a critical win for Solers that will allow us to continue to leverage emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions to help DISA establish information dominance for the DoD and its mission partners.”
Work under the contract will be carried out at DISA headquarters, contractor facilities and DoD locations worldwide.
As the DoD’s combat support agency, DISA manages command and control (C2) and information sharing capabilities, and global net-centric enterprise information infrastructure in support of the joint troops.
