Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is deploying resources to identify and address employee and community needs during the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

As part of this, the company has commenced the production of personal protective equipment (PPE) for health care workers.

It has matched the employee charitable contributions and is also maximising time-off flexibility and other benefits for its more than 4,000 highly skilled employees.

Other Covid-19 relief efforts undertaken by SNC include the production and delivery of ear savers to three hospitals in Reno/Sparks. They will relieve ear pain among health care workers, who are forced to wear masks at all times during their long shifts.

SNC is also producing and delivering the plastic frames required for face shields to be used by health care workers.

The company’s corporate social impact initiative, SNC Cares has partnered with the charitable platform, Givz.

The partnership will facilitate employee contributions to high-impact Covid-relief efforts Center for Disaster Philanthropy and PenFed Foundation.

Additionally, the company is bearing the costs involved in Covid-19 testing and treatment of its employees.

It is on track with its customer milestones and continues to successfully navigate the extreme circumstances of the pandemic.
