Saab has received an order to supply its 155mm explosive training artillery ammunition to an undisclosed customer.
The order for the artillery training rounds is valued at Skr118m ($13.9m).

Saab Bofors Dynamics Switzerland (SBDS) will be responsible for performing the conversion of live rounds into training rounds as part of the deal.
SBDS will perform the technical alteration, the filling of the target marking and explosive components and final assembly.
Commenting on the order, Saab Dynamics business area head Görgen Johansson said: “This is yet another proof of the expertise and knowledge we have within the field of artillery ammunition, and the order is in line with our long-term strategy to strengthen and develop our product portfolio.
“Our SBDS team has a huge amount of experience to fulfil a wide range of service contracts within the field of munitions, the respective components and explosives, both nationally and internationally.”

SBDS designs, develops and produces mortar rounds, warheads and other energetic products.
The company is also involved in total munitions lifecycle management and provides servicing of different ammunition types, mainly for large-calibre products.
SBDS maintains an advanced development and production site with advanced test and simulation facilities in Thun, Switzerland.
