Rostec State Corporation subsidiary Rosoboronexport has signed 15 defence contracts with a total value of more than RUR20.3bn ($300.14m).

The contracts have been signed with different foreign customers for the delivery of a wide range of Russian military equipment and weapons.

Rosoboronexport director general Alexander Mikheev said: “The sum of the export contracts signed by Rosoboronexport on the margins of the Army forum has exceeded RUR20.3bn.

“This relates to modern land forces’ military equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare systems, close combat weapons and much more.

“The company’s portfolio has been replenished with firm orders from Asian and African countries, as well as from member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.”

“The sum of the export contracts signed by Rosoboronexport on the margins of the Army forum has exceeded RUR20.3bn.”

In addition to the defence contracts signed at the Army 2018 International Military Technical Forum in Kubinka, Moscow, other collaborative agreements between Rosoboronexport and Russian players in military-technical cooperation were signed at the forum.

Under the deals, the company will be responsible for carrying out export deliveries of final Russian military hardware, as well as providing after-sales repair and upgrade services for the different foreign partners.

Mikheev added: “Many in the world, including Europe, are fairly outraged by actions of the US, which is trying to prevent other countries from developing military-technical cooperation with Russia.

“Rosoboronexport is engaged in dialogue with foreign customers at the level of authorities, and the export deals are approved by either presidents or at a high government level in the government to government (G2G) format.”

During the first days of the Army 2018 forum, Rosoboronexport carried out negotiations and consultations with delegations from a total of 45 countries from the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe.
