Oshkosh Defense has received a $152m order to deliver additional Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) to the US Army, US Marine Corps (USMC), US Air Force (USAF) and US Navy.
Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command – Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA), the order is valued at $152m and includes companion trailers and relevant kits.

The contract also includes delivery of the JLTVs to Nato allies Lithuania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, and Romania.
Since 2015, when Oshkosh won the competitive JLTV contract, the company has built more than 12,500 JLTVs, fielded vehicles to over 40 US and international military installations.
So far, the company received orders from eight Nato, allied, and coalition partners including the UK, Belgium, Montenegro, Slovenia, Lithuania, Brazil, Romania, and North Macedonia.
The JLTV- Trailers (JLTV-T) was designed as an integral part of the JLTV Family of Vehicles.

By GlobalDataWith 18.5in wheel travel and a payload of 5,100lb, the vehicle will provide similar off-road performance and durability.
Oshkosh Defense Joint Programs vice-president and general manager George Mansfield said: “We’ve spent over ten years developing our vehicle, followed by nearly six years of manufacturing the vehicle in both low rate and full-rate production.
“We’ve refined the manufacturing process, matured our robust supply chain, and fulfilled the light tactical vehicle capability gap in eight additional countries with our proven platform.
“No one else can say that and we have no plans to stop building the Oshkosh JLTV anytime soon.”
With a maximum speed limit of 70mph, the vehicle is integrated with anti-lock braking system (ABS) and has 60in fording capability.
The vehicle is compatible with legacy pintles on High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), Family of Medium Heavy Tactical Vehicle (FMTV), Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT), Logistic Vehicle System Replacement (LVSR) and Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVR).
Recently, the US Army increased Oshkosh’s option ceiling under the existing contract from 18,170 to 23,163 vehicles to support global complex missions.
