The US Department of Defence (DoD) and the Israeli Ministry of Defence (MoD) have entered an agreement to increase cyber defence cooperation between the nations.
The decision follows a meeting between US Defence Secretary Ash Carter and Israeli Minister of Defence, Moshe ‘Bogie’ Ya’alon.

According to a statement published on US DoD website, Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said that Carter reaffirmed the unshakeable US commitment to Israel’s security and the importance of the US-Israeli defence relationship.
The representatives also discussed a number of ways to further strengthen cooperation on a range of issues, including regional security.
Ya’alon was quoted by i24news.tv as saying: "Relations with the US are the cornerstone of our national security.
"We discussed matters of critical importance during this meeting, including Israel’s security and the situation in the Middle East, as well as ways to advance our aid deal with the US.

Earlier this month, the US revealed plans to strengthen the cyber campaign against ISIS in the Middle East.
The US will reportedly deploy the US National Guard’s cyber squadrons against ISIS.
According to Reuters, the cyber squadron will not engage in offensive missions yet, but could incorporate these in the future.
