Leidos has been selected as one of the prime contractors to provide a range of support services to the US Army Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC).
Awarded by the Army Contracting Command (ACC), the multiple-award, cost-plus-fixed-fee / firm fixed-price, indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract has a five-year performance period and maximum potential of $300m for all seven awardees.

Leidos will provide processing, supply and fabrication of armament-related products, and fabrication or refurbishment of armaments to ARDEC through the joint munitions and lethality lifecycle management command (JM&L LCMC) programme office.
Additional contract responsibilities include the provision of associated manufacturing equipment and prototyping and engineering services.

By GlobalDataSpecifically, the agreement streamlines ARDEC’s procurement strategy through JM&L LCMC to accomplish their mission, while ensuring fast delivery of armament and weapons systems from research and development facilities to the theatre for current military operations.
Other contract awardees include Alliant Techsystems Operations, Battelle Memorial Institute, Booz Allen Hamilton, Concurrent Technologies and General Dynamics Ordinance Tactical Systems.
Work under the contract is likely to finish in July 2019.
