PZL-Swidnik has presented its W-3PL Gluszec helicopter at the 10th edition of AIR FAIR, which took place this year.
The Leonardo-Finmeccanica-owned company developed the helicopter under a partnership with the Polish Armed Forces and the Air Force Institute of Technology.

The Polish Land Forces are currently using the W-3PL Gluszec at 56th Air Base in Inowroclaw.
The helicopter, which is the advanced version of the Sokól aircraft, features advanced avionics and equipment that meet combat support standards.
It can further be upgraded by installing armament systems to improve the Polish Army’s combat potential.
In a statement posted on the company’s website, Leonardo Helicopters Polish Government Business Unit vice-president Krzysztof Krystowski said that the W-3PL Gluszec is likely to significantly improve the combat capacities of the Polish Armed Forces.

PZL-Swidnik has produced more than 7,400 helicopters.
The company claims to be the only original equipment manufacturer in Poland carrying out helicopter design, research and development, system integration, manufacturing, support, training and upgrades.
