MacAulay-Brown (MacB) has partnered with Alliant SB CTA (ASC) on an enterprise information technology support services contract (EITSSC) for the US Army.

Awarded by the US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), the seven-year contract requires the company to provide mission critical information technology (IT) services and technical support for the army.

Valued at $20m, the contract will also cover full lifecycle support, system upgrades and modifications, and new systems integration across SOUTHCOM’s area of responsibility (AOR), including its headquarters.

The companies will work towards transitioning existing IT networks into a single security architecture (SSA).

MacB and ASC will establish standardised methods for authenticating and accessing data by implementing a single architecture for identity and access management (IdAM) at SOUTHCOM headquarters.

The companies will migrate traditional server and client-based applications to a software-as-a-service model and cloud computing.

They will also ensure that software applications and servers comply with US Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines.

In November, MacB partnered with EOIR Technologies on a $994m technical information engineering services (TIES) contract for the US Army.

The three-year contract is to support the Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center’s (CERDEC) Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD).
