Elbit Systems has supplied advanced driving simulators to the armed forces of two Nato member countries.
The company designed, produced and delivered three types of driving simulator, including KMW’s DINGO 2, a 4×4 mine-protected vehicle; GD-MOWAG’s Piranha IIIC, an 8×8 armoured infantry fighting vehicle; and IVECO’s Trakker, a 6×6 off-road truck.

The simulators can be operated in stand-alone and convoy training modes, and used to simulate a range of on and off-road driving conditions in tracked and wheeled combat vehicles.
Elbit Systems aerospace division general manager Yoram Shmuely said: "These high-fidelity driving simulators are part of our global land-based training programmes, which include customers in Israel, Europe and Asia.
"The advanced fidelity, realism and immersion achieved through the simulators is further proof of Elbit Systems’ commitment to delivering reliable and affordable training capabilities to leading land forces worldwide."
The simulators are also expected to improve the training plan of new drivers, as well as support the operational readiness of qualified drivers.
