AM General has secured a contract worth $2.2bn to manufacture up to 11,560 high-mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV) expanded capacity vehicles (ECV) until February 2023.

Awarded by the US Army Contracting Command, the contract also includes associated optional equipment and contractor-unique spare parts packages in its scope.

The vehicles to be produced under the deal will be delivered to foreign military sales customers.

The US Army Contracting Command has awarded a $727.69m support services contract to Leidos Innovation Corporation.

The contractor will support fixed-wing helicopter and aircraft fleets of the Afghanistan’s Air Force and Special Mission Wing units, as part of the deal, through May 2020.
