Russian armoured personnel carriers sent to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) are stuck in Jordan because of Israeli red tape, Palestinian ambassador Fayed Mustafa has said.

The 50 vehicles, scheduled to be delivered to the PNA via Jordan, were sent in June 2010.

Mustafa said the delay was due to Israeli formalities. “But we hope that our forthcoming direct talks with Israel will help resolve the situation,” he added.

On the contrary, experts doubt that an agreement would be reached on the final status issues during the talks with Israel, according to RIA Novosti.
