The upgraded night vision capability on the system provides enhanced visibility equal to a cloudy night with no moon, no peripheral light source and no starlight.

It also offers consistent transition between head-up piloting and head-down instrument monitoring with a balanced centre of gravity to help reduce pilot fatigue generated by standard night vision goggles.

The system can also be switched to high-resolution infrared image projection for improved visibility during faded visual conditions including brownout, whiteout, and night-time flying.
