The EST 2000 creates lifelike virtual combat scenarios by using digital video projectors, high-definition screens, game-based computer graphics and ballistically accurate simulated weapons.
The Saudi Arabian National Guard will use the systems for training and maintaining marksmanship skills, team and squad training, and for “shoot / don’t shoot” simulations for soldiers and security teams.
Cubic will also provide one-year maintenance support and build infrastructure to accommodate the EST 2000 systems in coordination with a local company.
Cubic Defense Applications Business Development vice-president John Naff said the systems would be deployed across the eastern, central and western provinces, to train members of the National Guard.
