The Future Combat Systems (FCS) programme has successfully completed its System of Systems Preliminary Design Review (SoS PDR).
The review was done by representatives from the US Army, Boeing, SAIC, industry partners and other government agencies.

It was conducted on 11–14 May at the Boeing facility in St Louis.
The SoS PDR validated that the designs for all FCS systems, including the network, sensors, weapons, manned and unmanned vehicles, meet current requirements and will function as an integrated system of systems.
The review proved that a family of networked systems will offer greater combat capabilities, including better intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
Boeing vice president and FCS programme manager Gregg Martin said that the review had marked a major milestone for the programme.
