The $80m vehicle order will enter service in Afghanistan more than three years later than planned.

The Nary, built by UK firm Supacat, is also known as the Jackal and is based on the Supacat HMT 400 4&215;4 and 6×6 vehicles as well as being equipped with two machine guns and a grenade launcher.
The vehicle can be fitted with mine blast and ballistic protection kit, mission hampers, weapons, communications, surveillance and force protection equipment.
The delay has been attributed to technical problems related to the Australian variant that include systems integration, payload, suspension and armour.
