The French defence procurement agency, DGA, has selected the new-generation ballistic computer, Cadet 2G, to equip all control stations in the French Army’s Atlas artillery system.

The Cadet 2G solution is derived from the company’s Storm fire control computer (FCC).

The computer will determine primary or backup fire control solutions for 155mm artillery pieces and mortars, as well as during force projection missions.

The services to be provided by the system will include deployment of artillery pieces as a battery, management of technical and tactical firing data, determination of firing solutions, ballistic calculations, fire control and adjustment.

The company will deliver more than 100 computers to France.
