The agreement was signed by TYTAN CEO and co-founder Balázs Nagy and KNDS digitalisation executive vice president Mathias Nöhl.

This collaboration follows the integration of TYTAN’s Interceptor-S counter-drone system into the compartment box of the KNDS Boxer RCT30 vehicle.

The combined system underwent demonstrations during the Bundeswehr’s Experimentalserie Land held in Munster and Bergen in autumn 2025.

With this new agreement, KNDS and TYTAN aim to deliver integrated solutions to protect land system platforms and their crews from unmanned aerial threats through the latter’s counter-drone-on-drone technology.

The extended cooperation will also include joint development of a European standard for mobile uncrewed aerial systems launch solutions, as well as further progress in counter-uncrewed aircraft systems technologies with applications in military base protection and frontline air defence.

Balázs Nagy said: “Two companies with a clear track record of battle-proven systems are joining forces to set the standard in C-UAS systems. We strongly believe in the synergy of innovation at scale in partnership with a strong industrial partner.”

KNDS and TYTAN began their cooperation in 2025.

According to KNDS, its international operations and experience with land systems are combined with TYTAN’s work in counter-uncrewed aircraft systems and drone-on-drone air defence.

Mathias Nöhl said: “As a leading European provider of land systems, we are convinced that agile and innovative companies like TYTAN and KNDS are an ideal fit to drive the integration of new, innovative solutions and offer soldiers the best possible systems.”
