US-based Gentex has introduced its re-designed Ops-Core FAST XP Helmet System, a ballistic helmet developed for law enforcement personnel.
The helmet is certified to NIJ IIIA and HG2 standards, with protection against 9mm and .44 Magnum threats as well as improved fragmentation resistance.

According to Gentex, each helmet undergoes comprehensive military testing, including assessments in various environmental conditions such as hot, cold, wet, ambient, and high-altitude settings.
The FAST XP Helmet System comes in high-cut and mid-cut designs, featuring the Ops-Core LockDown Liner with a user-adjustable suspension system to help manage heat and fatigue during extended use.
Moisture-wicking materials and integrated airflow channels further support temperature regulation for officers in the field.
The helmet also provides a conformable nape pad and cable-driven Occ-Dial suspension system for a secure fit during operations that require equipment such as radios or night vision devices.

The convertible chin cup is designed for flexibility in wear and reduces the need for mask extenders, allowing agencies to deploy a uniform helmet across different operational requirements.
Accessory integration is supported by the PowerPath ARC Rail, which allows for secure mounting of necessary equipment while routing cables behind the rail to reduce snag risks.
The Modular Bungee Shroud contributes to night vision goggle stability without interfering with other mounted devices.

In October of last year, the Czech Ministry of Defence selected Gentex to supply integrated ballistic helmet systems and AMP Communication Headsets to the Czech Armed Forces.
