Under the terms, Elbit Systems will supply its Direct Infra-Red Counter-Measure (DIRCM) technology, which is designed to defend aircraft against heat-seeking ground-to-air missiles.
The EW suite integrates electronic sensing, signal processing, and countermeasure functions to provide early warning, threat detection, and automated response.
The DIRCM systems feature an open architecture configuration that allows integration onto various aircraft types.
The contracts also include the delivery of Elbit Systems’ Mini-MUSIC DIRCM system.

The company’s DIRCM systems have already been adopted by multiple customers, such as the Israeli government for commercial airliners, the Italian Air Force for C27J, C130J and AW101 helicopters, and the Brazilian Air Force for the KC-390 aircraft.
President and CEO of Elbit Systems, Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, stated: “These contracts reflect the growing trust of our Asia Pacific customers in Elbit Systems’ advanced, combat proven self protection solutions for helicopters.
“Our integrated EW and DIRCM systems provide highly advanced threat detection and countermeasure capabilities, enhancing aircraft survivability and operational effectiveness in complex mission environments.”
Recently, Elbit Systems secured contracts with a combined value of approximately $150m to provide its DIRCM systems to certain European nations, including NATO member states.
