Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) has secured a framework agreement with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) for supplying up to 1,000 HX and TG trucks.

The contract came along with an initial call-off for more than 100 trucks, valued in the double-digit million-euro range. RMMV recorded this in Q4 2025.

These vehicles are intended to support the build-up  of a Danish heavy infantry brigade, with deliveries scheduled to begin before the end of 2027.

The agreement also covers services including maintenance, vehicle training, and spare parts.

In addition, DALO has extended its existing sustainment contract for the current fleet by four years.

The procurement marks Denmark’s renewed participation in the group of nations using HX trucks and aims to establish the HX model as the standard tactical truck for the Royal Danish Army.

DALO land division head colonel Thomas Øgendahl Knudsen said: “The acquisition of new all-terrain trucks for the heavy infantry brigade is another important piece in the Army’s armament.

“Therefore, I am very pleased that through this contract signing, we now ensure that the soldiers within a few years will have significantly increased their combat power in their operational tasks. I am pleased to see our collaboration with Rheinmetall continue.”

The HX family of heavy transport vehicles, developed by RMMV, is used internationally by military forces, government bodies, and security organisations.

RMMV is jointly owned by Rheinmetall, which owns a 51% stake, and MAN Truck & Bus, which holds 49%.

The vehicles are available in multiple configurations from 4×4 to 10×10, and are designed to operate in varied terrains and climates, with features supporting operation between -32°C and +49°C.

An Arctic kit is available for conditions down to -6°C.

Currently, over 20,000 units are in service worldwide, including among EU and NATO member states.

In July 2024, Germany’s Ministry of Defence placed a record order for a range of 6,500 HX-series vehicles in a new framework agreement that will total €3.5bn ($4.06bn).
