The British Army has developed a disinfectant spray that is said to be capable of eliminating 99.99% of the Covid-19 virus in 60 seconds.

Called Virusend spray formula, the disinfectant has been unveiled at a time when the UK is working to contain a new wave of coronavirus infections.

Developed by the innovation experts in the army, the spray is found to be effective in killing SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus strain causing the pandemic.

Virusend is supplied through the Pritchard Spray Technology-developed ‘Anyway Spray’ bottle, a recyclable system capable of spraying the formula over a wide surface area.

The disinfectant will be available for purchase through online and brick-and-mortar stores, with an expanded roll-out currently being planned.

Around 50,000 bottles of Virusend disinfectant are already being delivered across the country for military personnel working alongside the NHS at testing stations.
