Boeing has secured a contract from the US Army to manufacture AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for international clients, with nearly $4.68bn allocated under the foreign military sales (FMS) programme.
The agreement includes 96 aircraft for the Polish Armed Forces, as well as deliveries to Egypt and Kuwait.

Production activities will take place in Mesa, Arizona, with work projected to conclude by 30 May 2032.
According to a statement from the US Department of War, the contract covers newly built Apache AH-64E helicopters, Longbow crew trainers, and related components, spare parts, and accessories.
Meanwhile, the Polish Ministry of National Defence (MND) is already preparing for delivery by training pilots and maintenance personnel on the platform.
Currently, the MND leases eight Apache helicopters from the US Army.

By GlobalDataDeliveries of the new helicopters to Poland are anticipated to commence in 2028.
Boeing and the Polish MND had previously established an offset agreement, allowing Polish industry to maintain and support the incoming Apache fleet.
The company will also set up training programmes and assist in establishing a composite laboratory.
Poland’s current order marks the largest single purchase of Apache helicopters by a country outside the US, making it the 19th operator of the type globally.
Boeing attack helicopter programmes vice president Christina Upah said: “”This important agreement allows us to begin building one of the largest and most formidable Apache fleets that the world has ever seen.
“Working closely with the Polish Armed Forces, we’re focused on disciplined execution to help enhance Poland’s defence capabilities and keep up with the strong demand for the most advanced attack helicopter.”
The contract follows the celebration of the 50 years since the Apache’s first flight at its Mesa plant.
In recent months, new Apaches have been delivered to various international customers including the Netherlands, Australia, India, and Morocco.
Globally, more than 1,300 Apaches operate with support from Boeing Global Services. The AH-64E model represents the latest version in the Apache series.
In September 2025 the US Army demonstrated the capabilities of AH-64E Apache helicopters as a counter-uncrewed aircraft systems (c-UAS) platform.
