Anduril UK and GKN Aerospace are set to work together on the British Army’s Project NYX and the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) Land Autonomous Collaborative Platform (ACP) programme.
The two companies have formalised an exclusive teaming agreement.

The agreement designates GKN Aerospace as the airframe manufacturing and electrical integration partner of Anduril UK for Project NYX and other future initiatives.
Project NYX is the initiative that will deliver a capability concept demonstrator (CCD) for the ACP programme.
Under the collaboration, GKN Aerospace will take charge of structural design and integration. The company will leverage its expertise in aerostructures, electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS) and aerospace engineering.
Much of this work will be carried out at its Cowes facility on the Isle of Wight.

By GlobalDataGKN Aerospace recently invested £10m ($13m) in the Cowes site, equipping it with new cleanrooms, processing equipment and training facilities to support future platform development.
Headquartered in the UK, GKN Aerospace employs 1,000 people at the Cowes site and supplies products and services to contractors in the commercial and military aircraft and engine sectors.
Anduril stated that this latest agreement is part of a broader strategy that involves more than 100 suppliers across the UK, including partnerships specifically for Project NYX.
Other companies involved are Atom Performance Technologies, Flarebright, Olsen Actuators and Isembard.
US-based Archer Aviation will also work with GKN Aerospace and Anduril UK to bring its expertise in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft development and hybrid propulsion systems for the British Army.
The Project NYX team combines Anduril as lead systems integrator, GKN Aerospace as airframe manufacturing partner, Archer Aviation providing eVTOL expertise and additional domestic contributors. Anduril UK managing director Rich Drake stated: “This partnership with GKN Aerospace is an exciting next step in our journey to provide and deliver innovative, sovereign solutions to the UK MoD. As we work together to create novel solutions to continuously evolving threats, we are committed to utilising the full depth and breadth of British engineering talent to provide sovereign solutions to British service personnel.”
