AVX Aircraft Company and L3 Technologies have submitted their proposal for the US Army’s future attack reconnaissance aircraft (FARA).

The AVX / L3 team has proposed to offer an advanced modular armed reconnaissance and light attack platform for the programme.

L3 Technologies chairman, chief executive officer and president Christopher E Kubasik said: “The L3 / AVX FARA proposal demonstrates our commitment to provide innovative solutions for the army’s modernisation priorities.

The AVX / L3 solution will leverage L3’s expertise in systems engineering, weapons, sensor and communications systems integration, as well as AVX Aircraft’s experience in coaxial rotor platforms and propulsion systems.
