The HELIOS programme is divided into two major technical areas, the primary focus of which is to improve intelligence, provide strategic warning, and inform activities such as research and development, acquisition and operation.

Through the current IDIQ award, the company will be able to continue providing support to the DIA in cross-cutting and multi-domain sensor and mission technologies, in addition to full systems lifecycle development and support.

Northrop will carry out work on the project in Cincinnati, Ohio; Fairfax, Virginia; Huntsville, Alabama; and Tucson, Arizona.

The contract will enable the US DIA to procure research, development, technical and engineering services to support the DIA/ST missions.

Estimated to be completed on 14 September 2028, work will be performed at different contractor facilities and government facilities in the National Capital Region.
