Lockheed Martin has secured a $25m contract from the Department of Defense to provide night vision sensor kits for the AH-64 Apache fleet in Egypt.

The modernised target acquisition designation sight/pilot night vision sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) system will provide helicopters with long-range, precision engagement capabilities.

Production is scheduled to be completed by April 2020.

The US Army has awarded a $413.7m contract to BAE Systems to start the full-rate production of M109A7 self-propelled howitzer and M992A3 ammunition carrier vehicles.

“Lockheed Martin has received a $944m contract to provide PAC-3 and PAC-3 MSE interceptors to the US Army, Romania and other foreign military forces.”

A total of 48 vehicles are being produced during the initial period of the contract.

The US Army has placed a $100m order with Oshkosh Defense for 258 joint light tactical vehicles (JLTVs).

The new vehicles will replace the US Army’s existing armoured high-mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle (HMMWV) fleet. They are expected to arrive by early 2020.

Lockheed Martin has received a $944m contract to provide Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) and PAC-3 Missile Segment Enhancement (PAC-3 MSE) interceptors to the US Army, Romania and other foreign military forces.

Launcher modification kits will also be delivered under the contract. The new weapons will help to increase missile defence capabilities.
