Cubic Global Defense (CGD) has secured a contract to continue supporting rotational and pre-deployment training exercises at the US Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC).
The contract awarded by the US Army Contracting Command is valued at more than $61m.

It has a combined one-year phase-in and base period and four additional option years.
As part of the deal, CGD will assist the JRTC with integrating US and allied forces into rotational training exercises through scenarios focused on decisive action and theatre-specific operational environments.
These types of exercises are conducted for units intended to be deployed in support of ongoing military operations overseas and include situational exercises, live fire, force-on-force and integrated live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training.
The contract also includes providing expanded role play, technical support for combat training instrumentation, battlefield effects, video and cultural role players for added realism.

The JRTC is the US Army’s premier combat training centre that provides advanced collective exercises for a wide variety of units, including brigade combat teams and special forces operational detachments.
These units include conventional airborne, air assault, light infantry, mechanised infantry and armoured units, as well as special operations forces from all service components.
The rotational training exercises at JRTC also involve active-duty, reserve, and National Guard units, and forces from other nations.
