The MATOC serves to replenish US inventories while offering product support services for various PSS-T systems currently deployed in overseas contingency operations, Army prepositioned reserves, and systems situated within both Contiguous United States (CONUS) and Outside Contiguous United States (OCONUS).

The PSS-T represents a versatile multi-sensor information gathering platform capable of integrating with other aerial assets and unattended ground sensors to enhance target acquisition capabilities.

Furthermore, this contract will address upcoming elevated sensing demands while ensuring ongoing service support for the PSDS2 initiative.

An additional feature of this MATOC is the provision for vendor rotation through options for on-ramping new suppliers or off-ramping existing ones to meet evolving requirements set forth by the Army.

In February 2025, QinetiQ US announced its involvement in a multi-stage prototype project for the US Army’s next-generation future advanced long-range common optical/netted-fires sensor programme.

The company is collaborating with the US Army Program Executive Office Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors on this multi-phase prototype effort.
