The vehicle offers protection from both improvised explosive devices and explosively formed penetrators, according to the company.

It will undergo design and blast-testing in the next few months.

The Protector may be entered into the US Army’s effort to find the next-generation Humvee; the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle competition.
