The market is expected to generally increase in penetration by 2010, followed by a rapid period of growth to 2013, Frost & Sullivan says.

They expect 119 million units to be shipped by 2013.

Frost & Sullivan say micro fuel cells could be a viable replacement for lithium batteries in military applications as they have the potential to provide extended device runtimes and quick and simple refuelling options that minimise waste.
