The US Army has contracted Northrop Grumman to provide management and support services for the army’s tactical simulation (TACSIM) programme, designed to provide intelligence training for the army and the joint services.
Under the three-year, $9m contract, the company will provide programme management, training, testing, information technology and field support for TACSIM in Orlando, Florida.

Northrop Grumman Technical Services TACSIM programme manager Dave Guerrero said that In today’s environment intelligence simulation and training are key force multipliers for successful operations around the globe.
TACSIM is composed of several interfaces including the main user interface, a remote tasking interface, a TACSIM proprietary interface, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) visualisation and a multiple UAV simulation environment.
In addition the company will support ten TACSIM sites across the globe.
