The first Prophet Enhanced electronic warfare system for the US Army has been unveiled by General Dynamics.

The prophet-enhanced tactical signals intelligence system is part of the army’s initiative to rapidly field intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance (ISR) signals.

Tactical commanders will be able to use the intelligence system to quickly and accurately identify and deter a wide range of signal emissions throughout the networked combat field.

Testing and evaluation for the system integrated into a Panther rapid-deployment command-and-control vehicle will be held in Scottsdale.

In February 2009 the US Army awarded the Prophet Enhanced contract to a team led by General Dynamics C4 Systems.

General Dynamics C4 Systems Integrated Systems director Mark Showah said once fielded, the system will have a direct and immediate impact on protecting warfighters throughout the battlespace.
