The new fleet of vehicles carries out missions in the region alongside 93 Lynx armoured vehicles.

The BAE Systems-manufactured RG-31 Nyala is a 4×4 mine-protected, all-terrain armoured personnel carrier capable of carrying nine crew excluding the driver.
The vehicle has been specifically designed to resist ballistic impacts from small arms fire and anti-tank mine detonations.
RG-31 can assume a wide spectrum of roles including armoured ambulance, communications vehicle and air traffic control vehicle.
