The FMTV is a series of vehicles ranging from 2.5t to 10t payloads to replace the aging fleet of trucks and perform local and line haul, unit mobility, unit resupply and combat support services.

Deliveries of all Oshkosh FMTV vehicles, which include the company’s long-term armour strategy-compliant armour solution are scheduled to begin in October 2010.

The contract awarded by the US Army TACOM Life-Cycle Management Command is part of a five-year contract worth more than $690m for the production of around 23,000 trucks and trailers, and support services and training.
