The Giraffe AMB is a battlefield surveillance radar that forms an organic sensor element for autonomous provision of high-quality air pictures without dependence on other systems.
Integrated on a single ground vehicle, the 3D long-range radar system includes a mast-mounted radar and integrated a command, control and communications (C3) system for medium and short-range air defence applications.
The Giraffe system offers quick deployment and high mobility and can be operated in intense clutter and jamming environments.
Additional units will be delivered by the end of 2010.
