The Shadow 200 is a tactical UAV system designed as ground manoeuvre commander’s primary day / night reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment system.

The ScanEagle can carry a payload of 6kg, and can cruise at an altitude of 5,000m.

Flournoy said the US would deliver whichever system the Pakistani Army needed to strengthen its intelligence in counter-insurgency efforts.

Pakistan had made an earlier request to the US for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and intelligence equipment to reinforce its counter-insurgency efforts.
