The Iranian Army has unveiled the third-generation home-made Cobra chopper simulators at an airborne base in central Iran.

The Iranian Army airborne commander General Kiomarth Ahadi said the chopper simulator was built in a two-year period with decreased expenses and improved pilot training courses.

He also said that the chopper simulator training device could also simulate tactical and invasive flights, and the cost of each simulator was a tenth of its foreign rivals.

“Our experts are producing well-equipped and non-static simulators for other types of choppers at present,” Ahadi said.

The Iranian Army’s airborne bases were equipped with flight training simulator systems, according to the Far News Agency.

Iran had built its first home-made mobile helicopter simulator system in 2007, which is currently in use for training operations.
