GD Armament and Technical Products vice-president and general manager Mike O’Brien said the QCB conversion kit will allow the warfighter to change the machine gun barrel in seconds, eliminating the need for manual calibration.

The production work under the $35m order will be carried out at the company’s facility in Saco, Maine, US.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in January 2011 and will continue through December 2012.
