L-3 Communications has been awarded a competitively bid contract from the US Army to provide lifecycle contractor support (LCCS) for 190 C-12, RC-12 and UC-35 aircraft.
The contract has a five-year performance period with options and is estimated to be valued at $440m.

The aircraft are used to transport essential cargo and personnel to support peacetime and contingency operations including transportation of key command and staff personnel.
The C-12, RC-12 turboprop and UC-35 jet aircraft are currently used by the army, army reserves and the army national guard.
The total aircraft system maintenance, repair, modification, service, logistical support and management processes will be carried out at L-3 SFS operating unit in Madison, Mississippi, US.
L-3 SFS will be supported by M1 Support Services, Hawker Beechcraft Services, Sierra Industries, Cessna and Aerospace Products International.
