Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) is to deliver Dingo 2 heavily armoured wheeled vehicles to the Norwegian Army to provide protection to its troops operating at Hindu Kush due to increased insurgent attacks.
Under the terms of the contract, KMW will provide 20 vehicles and includes delivery of specialised tools, training of the vehicle crews and the option to purchase further vehicles.

The Dingo 2 vehicle will be operated as a patrol and protection vehicle by the army.
The first ten vehicles will be delivered and transported to the operational area by the end of November and the remaining will be delivered in February 2011.
KMW supports Norwegian forces in Afghanistan and the vehicle is also used by Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria and the Czech Republic.
