Daewoo has signed a deal with the Indonesian Defence Ministry to provide armoured vehicles.

The $70m deal was procured with assistance from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration’s (DAPA) military diplomacy and the Export-Import Bank of Korea.

DAPA is South Korea’s weapons procurement agency and the bank will provide financial support as part of the deal.

Production of the vehicles has already begun, with deliveries scheduled to be made before the end of 2013.

The company has also procured deals from the Indonesian Navy and Air Force in the recent past.
