Elbit Systems has received a framework contract to supply UT30 BR 30mm unmanned turrets to the Brazilian Army’s land forces.
Under the approximately R440m ($260m) contract, the company will install its unmanned turrets onboard a few hundred IVECO 6×6 armoured personnel carriers (APC) as per a schedule and a multiyear funding profile to be defined by the parties.

The turrets provide an effective response to accurate shooting on the move with no exposure to enemy fire and form part of Elbit’s overhead remote controlled weapon systems (ORCWS) family.
The contract, floated under the Guarani Project, has come after Brazil awarded a contract to Elbit in 2009 to supply several unmanned turrets.
