General Dynamics (GD) Information Technology has been awarded a task order by the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to provide enterprise communication services.

The $178m task order for five years, if all options are exercised, was awarded under the DIA’s solutions for the information technology enterprise (SITE) contract in May 2010.

Under the contract, GD will support enterprise data, voice and video communications services across the information technology lifecycle including strategy, design, transition, operations and maintenance.

The company will also provide terrestrial, wireless and satellite communications support on the joint worldwide intelligence communications system (JWICS), secret internet protocol router network (SIPRnet), non-classified internet protocol router network (NIPRnet) and other coalition networks.

Work will be performed in Washington, DC, Colorado, Florida and Hawaii, US, as well as Germany, the UK, South Korea and other locations globally.
