The Indian Army has postponed user trials of its indigenous nuclear-capable Agni-II intermediate range ballistic missile due to a ‘technical problem’, a senior ITR official has said.
The trial was originally scheduled to take place on 29 August from the integrated test range off the Orissa coast at Wheeler Island in the Bay of Bengal, India.

The Press Trust of India has reported that the next date for the trial, to be conducted by the army and the Strategic Forces Command, has not been decided.
The surface-to-surface missile with a range of 2,000km is a two-staged solid propelled ready-to-fire missile weighing 17t and is capable of carrying a payload of 1t.
