Paramount Group Business Development director Miles Chambers said the vehicle would be suitable for conducting patrol-type missions on and offroad due to high levels of protection, together with unprecedented mobility and supportability.

"As governments seek to cope with a range of new security challenges, it is vehicles such as this that give them the flexibility to respond to a variety of threats without having to rely on more expensive or aggressive looking large scale armoured vehicles," Chambers said.

Displaying a deliberate non-aggressive appearance, Marauder Patrol is suitable for operations in sensitive environments, and offers STANAG Level 1 ballistic protection against shell fragments and 7.62mm and 5.56mm bullet rounds.

Customers can also benefit from an additional option for increasing the protection to STANAG Level 2 without modifying the vehicle’s performance.

It is available in either a five-door sport utility vehicle (SUV) or a four-door double cab pick-up variant, capable of carrying a maximum of nine and five passengers respectively.

Both the models feature plenty of space for accommodating tools, medical supplies and communications equipment, and are provided with optional extras of run-flat tyre inserts, communications systems, add-on armour, weapons stations, as well as automatic transmission.

Paramount said the new vehicle was based on its previous Marauder armoured, mine-protected vehicle, developed for reconnaissance and peacekeeping missions.
