Aerojet Ordnance Tennessee (AOT) has achieved a delivery milestone by supplying the eight millionth M67 hand grenade body.
The company delivers grenade bodies to Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), where it is assembled and then supplied to the US Army.

Aerojet Rocketdyne’s speciality metal providing unit AOT has been supplying M67 hand grenade body assemblies to the US Government since 2001.

The M67 hand grenade is used for close combat situations to supplement small arms fire. It features a 2.5in diameter steel sphere containing 6.5oz of high explosives and a fuse to detonate.

D&Z’s Munitions and Government Division president Michael Yoh said: “D&Z is proud to partner with AOT in delivering the highest quality grenades to our warfighters.

AOT focuses on the production of speciality metal components for munitions, commercial products and sporting goods.
Earlier this year, Aerojet Rocketdyne delivered the 600th Boost Motor and Divert and Attitude Control System (DACS) for the US Army’s THAAD system.
