US Army 1-3rd Attack Reconnaissance Battalion (ARB) and Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 214th Aviation Regiment have conducted a training flight.
The flight exercise involved 18 AH-64 Apache helicopters and two CH-47 Chinook helicopters, reported USAG Ansbach Public Affairs’ Amy Stork.

The aircraft took off from the Katterbach US Army Airfield and demonstrated their combat capabilities for two hours.
1-3rd ARB performed the training mission under realistic conditions and with the complete battalion.
Also known as Vipers, 1-3rd ARB is an attack battalion stationed in the US European Command area of responsibility on a permanent basis.
US Army 7th Army Training Command commanding general Brigade General Christopher R Norrie said: “Putting 18 Apaches into the air at one time to conduct coordinated movement and training is no small task, it reflects thousands of training hours and planning.
