The US Department of Defense (DoD) has selected Mutualink’s platform for the Joint Users Interoperability Communications Exercise (JUICE), scheduled to run from 3-28 June at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Maryland, US.
During the exercise, the platform will serve as a communications backbone for interoperability testing and concept of operations (CONOP) support throughout the joint US forces and coalition partner countries.

More specifically, the solution will allow secure voice, full-motion video and information sharing between joint and coalition partner organisations and networks on a global, real-time basis.
Mutualink senior vice-president Joe Mazzarella said: "Our platform is not only suited for coalition interoperability. It also addresses defence-to-civilian-agency collaboration barriers in a variety of contexts ranging from cross border enforcement, humanitarian and disaster relief, and multinational law enforcement efforts."
The solution will facilitate seamless and sovereign interoperable communications for the US Army, Air Force and Marine Corps, National Guard, Nato Special Operations, partner nations’ defence units and civil public safety authorities during the month-long exercise.
Mutualink’s new global secure emergency collaboration (GSEC) network is expected to connect up to 20 global locations, including the State of Rio Brazil Emergency Operations Center, which has deployed the platform in preparation for the World Cup and Olympics.
